Jessica Simpson exuded an air of mystery in a social media post Friday.

The 43-year-old, who donned short shorts and platform heels to showcase her toned legs recently, appeared makeup free in the snap she shared on Instagram.

Her long, blonde hair was pulled away from her face and she wore a black and brown animal print coat. 

She held one of her hands close to her face, displaying two manicured nails.

One featured a round green stone surrounded by crystals. A gold chain was dangling from the digit. 

The other featured a pale pink nail with a gold tip.

What that something is, remained a mystery, but fans were eager to speculate.

The entrepreneur has a successful line of nail products which are available on the Home Shopping Network. 

The People's Choice Award Winner has been working on some new music at her home away from home in Nashville, while also expanding her brand.

Per her social media posts, Simpson has been working on new music and on expanding her brand. In April she announced a collaboration with Walmart to carry her clothing line  (Pictured in New York in November 2023)

'I am beyond excited to announce my exclusive collaboration of the Jessica Simpson Brand with @walmart,' she shared on social media April 16.

'We can’t wait to help even more women feel their absolute best and most confident in what they wear' she maintained. 

While she remains focused on music and fashion, the author received the bad news earlier this year that a TV series based on her memoir, Open Book, will not go forward, according to Variety. 

The Dukes of Hazzard star was set to executive produce the project starring John Stamos and Katelyn Tarver.
